Rashid Khan congratulated Australia for their historic win

Australia scripted a historic win against Afghanistan on November 7 as they beat the Hashmatullah Shahidi-led side by three wickets.

Glenn Maxwell was the star with the bat and played arguably the greatest ODI innings in cricket history. Maxwell scored 201 (128) with cramps. Australia were 91/7 while chasing a target of 292. Maxwell snatched the victory out of Afghanistan’s jaws and his knock helped Australia qualify for the semi-finals.

The cricket fraternity congratulated Maxwell for his knock, but Rashid Khan, who was heartbroken with the defeat, stole the show, as he took to Twitter to congratulate Australia and Maxwell. “Well played @gmaxi_32 & @patcummins30,” wrote Rashid.

Afghanistan still have a chance to qualify for the semi-finals. They need to beat South Africa and pray for New Zealand and Pakistan to lose their upcoming matches.
