S Sreesanth said that the Indian selectors were right to leave out Sanju Samson from the ICC World Cup 2023 squad. The former pacer said Sanju has an attitude problem and he doesn’t listen to legends.
Samson, despite having an impressive average in ODIs, was not considered for the Asian Games, the ODI series against Australia and the World Cup.
“It is the right decisin. The legends of the game rate him highly but he doesn’t listen when he is asked to play according to the pitch. He has to change his attitude,” he said.
Sreesanth feels Samson gets out after playing a rash shot too often. He said the Rajasthan Royals captain will have to learn the importance of staying at the wicket.
“I often tell hin to stay at the wicket. He has been given enough chances but lacks consistency.”
