Mohammed Siraj
Siraj took three wickets against Sri Lanka.

Mohammed Siraj had an ordinary ICC World Cup 2023 before today’s game against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium. He took three wickets against his favourite opponents and they were bundled out for 55 runs.

“I was not getting my rhythm right in the World Cup and my confidence was also low. The ball was not getting pitched where I wanted. However, I got my rhythm back against Sri lanka and I am happy that I contributed in the team’s success,” he said.

Besides Siraj, Mohammed Shami took 5 wickets to take his overall World Cup tally to 14. The Men in Blue scored 357/8, with healthy contributions from Shubman Gill (92), Virat Kohli (88) and Shreyas Iyer (82).

India have qualified for the tournament’s semis with seven wins from as many games.
