RACHIN RAVINDRA

The young Kiwi batter Rachin Ravindra showed no signs of nervousness in the opening game of the ICC World Cup 2023 against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium. He hit his maiden century off 82 balls, including 9 fours and 4 sixes at a strike-rate of 121.95.

The 23-year-old has been the find of the season for the Kiwis, considering his all-round talent. He is a wicket-taking bowler and a match winner with the bat.

He shared a partnership of more than 200 runs with Devon Conway, who completed fifth ton of his ODI career.

Earlier, England managed 282/9 on a flat track in Ahmedabad. The defending champions had no answer to Matt Henry’s brilliance. The pacer took three important wickets in the game.
