Former Pakistan players Javed Miandad and Misbah-ul-Haq have backed Babar Azam amid the Men in Green’s elimination from the Asia Cup 2023.
Misbah said that Pakistan would do well if everyone performs. “Babar Azam can’t perform everytime. This is not possible. Pakistan have been successful collectively and the players should remember this in India,” he said.
“Babar can contribute as a captain and batter in the ICC World Cup 2023. It is not the right time to talk about the captaincy,” he added.
Miandad is not in favour of the blame game being played around Babar.
“Don’t blame Babar Azam as other players didn’t perform. “Pakistan are not a bad team. They have potential to perform well in India,” he said.
