Fakhar Zaman scored the 11th ODI century of his career in the ICC World Cup 2023 game against New Zealand in Bengaluru.

The southpaw slammed 11 sixes and 8 fours to take Pakistan to a win by 21 runs based on the DLS method.

Babar Azam was at the other end when Zaman blazed all guns. He was unbeaten on 66 runs off 63 balls, laced with 6 fours and 2 sixes.

Gautam Gambhir gave Babar credit for Fakhar’s hundred. “Babar Azam is the reason for Zaman’s hundred. He was holding ome end up. If Azam would have been dismissed, Fakhar hasn’t been able to complete his three-figure mark. He would have gone for shots under pressure,” he said.

“I don’t have words to express the quality of the left-hander’s century. He really took on the bowlers,” he added.
