Virender Sehwag lauded Fakhar Zaman for scoring a hundred against New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2023. However, he was mocked by a Pakistan fan. Former India opener didn’t take the insult lightly and gave a befitting reply.
“What an innings by Fakhar Zaman, by far Pakistan’s best batter. Which brains kept him on the bench for the best part of the tournament, God knows. Protein ki bhi kami nahin, jajbe ki bhi . #NZvsPak,” he wrote.
His post was soon targeted by one of the users.
“Jajbe” will be my 13th reason to thank Jinnah,” he wrote.
Viru hit back at the user.
“Loan lete rehna 1st reason aur 8-0 second reason?Poora mulk hamaare jyada tar players ka naam galat leta hai aur ek Z mein inhe yaad aa gaye sab 😂,” he replied back.
For the record, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 21 runs on the DLS method and kept their semi-finals hope alive.
Zaman was unbeaten on 126, while Babar Azam scored 66 not-out.
Earlier, the Kiwis put up 401/7 in 50 overs.
