Australian cricketers fighting fund
Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA) on Wednesday said the fund would be created for their counterparts in netball.

After Australia suffered a six-wicket defeat against India in their opening game of the ICC World Cup 2023, former Pakistani cricketer Aamer Sohail remarked that Australia’s team is not good enough to win the 2023 World Cup. He believes that they might upset some teams but won’t be able to win consistently.

The Men in Yellow holds the record for most ODI World Cup trophies. The Australian side have won the title five times, which is more than any other country. They last won in 2015 and in 2019, Australia made it to the semifinals but unfortunately lost the match against England.

Commenting on Aussie’s performance, Aamer Sohail said, “Over the past two days, we’ve talked about it and I don’t believe the Australian team has what it takes to be world champions. While they may surprise some teams, they won’t win consistently due to their weak middle order. Even David Warner has been inconsistent. There are many issues that the team needs to address.”

“India have the strongest spin attack, followed by Afghanistan and Bangladesh,” he said.
