Disheartened Pakistani fans expressed their anger on social media and slammed Babar Azam. In a video going viral on the internet, a fan crossed the line and threatened to hit Babar with shoes at his hotel.
In the short clip, he can be heard saying, “Babar Azam, I am coming to your hotel to beat you up. I have got your contact number, you also reach the hotel.” Here is the video.
With the defeat, Pakistan, who were ranked No.1 in ODIs before the game, dropped two ranks and are now placed 3rd. Meanwhile, India will face Sri Lanka in the finals on September 17.
