Sourav Ganguly said India can win the ICC World Cup 2023 if the batters perform well. India is set to host the tournament in October and November this year.
Speaking to PTI, Ganguly said if India bat well, they can lift the trophy, insisting the home team is a strong side.
The Men in Blue will play against Australia in their opening game on September 6 at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.
“They will win the World Cup if they bat well. The World Cup differs from the Asia Cup and the ODI series against Australia. India are a strong side,’ Ganguly said.
Sourav also lauded Pakistan for being home to talented players, saying the team that plays well on the match day will win.
