Indian legend Yuvraj Singh has made a massive admission sixteen years after India won the 2007 T20 World Cup and stated that it was Harbhajan Singh who advised MS Dhoni to make Joginder Sharma bowl the final over.

Yuvraj, who appeared on the Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, revealed that Bhajji told Dhoni that he had been hit for three sixes and Joginder should bowl the final over and MS agreed.

“There was actually a decision where Bhajji was supposed to bowl the final over. Dhoni went up to him and said that with experience, only you have to bowl. So, Bhajji said, ‘I bowled to Misbah one over and he smashed me for three sixes, so go with Joginder.’ It was Harbhajan who gave that idea to him.”

Former India skipper MS Dhoni revealed how his job in Kharagpur helped him once fool the Bangladesh team.

Appearing at an event for Rigi, Dhoni revealed that when he used to work in Kharagpur, he got fluent in Bengali. He added that most of the people are unaware of his understanding of the Bengali language. MS revealed that once during a game against Bangladesh, they communicated with each other in Bengali assuming that he was unaware of the language, but actually picked up what the bowler was going to bowl and smashed him across the park.

“Kharagpur me mere railways ka job tha aur us samay Bengali meri bahut achhi thi. Ab bhi bolunga toh tooti-phooti bolunga, kisko kya kharaab laag jayega [When I used to work at Kharagpur in Railways, my Bengali was very well. Now if I speak, I may make mistakes], but I can understand Bengali very well.”

“Interestingly, once, we were playing a match in Bangladesh, and they didn’t know I understood Bengali. Their keeper was suggesting something to the bowler, so I already knew what he would bowl. So, once the match ended, the Bangladeshi players were talking among themselves and seeing my reaction, they were like Ae Eta Bangali bujhte pari (He understands Bengali).”
