South Africa’s legendary spinner Imran Tahir compared Rashid Khan with Shane Warne during the ICC World Cup 2023 match between South Africa and Afghanistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Rashid has been a top wicket-taker in white-ball cricket, with 181 wickets in 102 ODIs. On the other hand, he has dismissed 130 batters in 82 T20Is.
In 5 Test matches, he has added 34 scalps to his bowling figures.
Shane Warne was a legend in every aspect. He took 708 Test wickets in 145 games, while his numbers stand at 293 wickets in 194 ODIs.
“Shane Warne and Rashid Khan are different type of bowlers but genuine wicket-takers. The young spinners can learn a lot from these two. Don’t try to copy them but try to get the knowledge by looking at their bowling,” he said.
