In an intense match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, there was a light moment, where the players shared a few laughs when Angelo Mathews walked to bat.

Mathews was in the news after he became the first player to be given ‘Timed-out’ in cricket. Angelo had issues with his helmet strap when Shakib Al Hasan appealed to the umpire and the Sri Lankan veteran had to return to the pavilion without facing any delivery.

In the latest events, when Mathews walked to bat, a New Zealand skipper jokingly asked him about his helmet strap. Trent Boult also reminded Mathews about the ‘timed-out’ episode and the two even shared a laugh or two.

Mathews’ dismissal sparked a major controversy and even his brother issued a stern warning to Shakib, where he stated that stones might be pelted at the Bangladeshi skipper if he travelled to Sri Lanka for a match.

Even, Angelo was angry with Shakib’s actions as he even provided video evidence of taking his crease within 2 minutes. Mathews remarked that he lost all respect for Shakib.
