KL Rahul second gold medal
He was brilliant behind the stumps against England in Lucknow and saved a couple of boundaries on the leg side.

KL Rahul was adjudged the best fielder by Team India’s fielding coach for the second time in the ICC World Cup 2023. Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur and others have won the gold medal once, but the wicket-keeper is the only Indian player to bag the award twice.

He was brilliant behind the stumps against England in Lucknow and saved a couple of boundaries on the leg side. He also grabbed the rising deliveries from the pacers. The entire team was taken out of the dressing room, and Rahul’s name was visible in the middle of the ground.

He was given the medal by the last-time winner, Shreyas Iyer.

For the record, India defeated England by 100 runs while defending 229.

Rohit Sharma (87) and Suryakumar Yadav (49) were the heroes with the bat, while Mohammed Shami(4 wickets) and Jasprit Bumrah (3 wickets) contributed with the ball.
