Conway smashed an unbeaten 152 (121), which included 19 fours and three sixes. Rachin, who featured in his debut World Cup game, amassed 123 (96), which featured 11 fours and five sixes.

Conway scored his century before Rachin did in the game and took 83 balls to achieve the feat by which he became the fastest player to score a hundred for New Zealand in the ODI World Cup. He surpassed Martin Guptill’s 88-ball century record against Bangladesh in 2015.

Conway’s record was short-lived as Rachin broke Conway’s record in minutes and took one fewer ball to complete his hundred. Here is the list of the fastest hundred for New Zealand in the World Cup.
