Former England captain Michael Vaughan has a cheeky take on Mickey Arthur’s accusation that Dil Dil Pakistan was not played during the India vs Pakistan match at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
The director of the Men in Green was unhappy with the atmosphere in Ahmedabad and felt that the game was like a bilateral series contest and not the World Cup clash, as there was nothing for the visiting team.
Leading cricketers have slammed Arthur for his baseless claim against the host nation. Vaughan, who is renowned for his hilarious takes, also reacted to Mickey’s blame game.
“Rohit Sharma asked the Ahmedabad DJ to not play ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ because he knew if Pakistan heard that song, they would win the game. So obviously Rohit told DJ to not play that inspirational song so India can win,” he said.
India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets after restricting them to 191.
