Former Australia opener Justin Langer is in contention to become the head coach of Lucknow Super Giants. The negotiations are going on, and if everything falls in place, he is likely to succeed Andy Flower.

According to Cricbuzz, the two parties have already had several rounds of discussion. Langer led Australia to the ICC World Cup title in 2021 and guided Perth Scorchers to three Big Bash League triumphs.

Andy Flower’s two-year contract ended with LSG in 2023. Morne Morkel, Jonty Rhodes, and Vijay Dahiya are expected to continue as bowling, fielding, and assistant coaches, respectively.

Lucknow have made it to the knockouts twice in the last two seasons. Underperforming teams are also looking to appoint new members to the coaching staff.
