Bangladesh Cricket Board’s media and communications manager, Rabeed Imam remarked, “Due to his family emergency, Litton took a leave and will join the team ahead of the teams’ training session scheduled on November 3 in Delhi.”

Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka on November 6 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, and Litton is expected to play that match.

Unlike other Bangladeshi players, Litton scored 235 runs, which featured two fifty-plus scores. Earlier today, Australia’s Mitchell Marsh also travelled back home to Australia because of personal reasons and will miss the clash against England on November 4. While Litton would return in a day or two, Marsh has been ruled out for an indefinite time.

Bangladesh are having one of their worst World Cup campaigns, as they are placed ninth on the table with one win in seven games. They now eye to finish in the top eight to earn a spot for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
