Shoaib Akhtar has warned India to be wary of Pakistan in the upcoming Super Fours clash

Renowned former Pakistani fast bowler, Shoaib Akhtar, made a significant landing in Colombo ahead of the much-anticipated Asia Cup 2023 clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. Akhtar didn’t just bring good news regarding the weather; he also issued a stark warning to Indian batters.

Upon his arrival in Colombo on Saturday, Akhtar assessed the local weather conditions and shared his findings via a video posted on the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter).

With an infectious smile, he conveyed, “Landing in Colombo after many years. Good to be back here. Great country, great people. And the Weather… it looks fine!”

While India and Pakistan prepare to face off in the Super Four tie on Sunday, the weather remains a significant concern. Colombo is expected to witness over 70 percent rainfall on September 10, the scheduled date for the match. This prompted the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to include a reserve day in case the weather disrupts the game once more, as it did in the previous week’s washout.

However, Shoaib Akhtar’s arrival brought a glimmer of hope to cricket enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the match. His positive assessment of the weather conditions in Colombo raised spirits among fans.

In addition to the weather update, Akhtar issued a warning to the Indian cricket team with a playful yet competitive tone. He declared, “Bach ke rehna Pakistan se (Beware of Pakistan) …,” reminding everyone of the intense rivalry and competition that characterizes encounters between these two cricketing giants.
