David Warner injured
Warner ruled out of Border-Gavaskar Trophy due to elbow fracture

Australia cricket team dealt a heavy blow during the 2nd Test against India, as their star opener David Warner has been ruled out of the entire Border Gavaskar series due to a fracture.

Earlier, the 36-year-old was replaced by Matt Renshaw in the ongoing 2nd game after he got hit in the head on day 1. Mohammed Siraj bowled a fiery bouncer, which struck Warner on his helmet, but the southpaw still played and got out cheaply. Later in the evening, it was announced that Renshaw has replaced him as a concussion substitute.

In the latest development, Warner has also sustained an elbow injury, which is why he will miss the entire Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Before getting hit on the head, Warner was also stuck on the arm by Siraj.

Before the teams took the field on the 2nd day, Usman Khawaja had confirmed that Warner is a bit unwell due to the bouncer that hit him on the head and elbow.

Warner has had a forgettable tour, as he failed to score a solitary fifty-plus score, and there were even reports that the management was mulling dropping him for the rest of the series. Meanwhile, the squads for the ODIs are not yet public, but Warner looks doubtful.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals would be sweating at the moment because their potential captain could miss out on the tournament if his fracture is serious.
