Former India player Harbhajan Singh has warned rivals from Afghanistan after their third win in the ICC World Cup 2023. They defeated the 1996 World Champions Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in Pune.

Earlier, the sub-continent team outclassed the 2019 World Cup winners England. Afghans then crossed the finishing line against the 1992 World Cup Champions Pakistan in Chennai.

“Come prepared against Afghanistan otherwise they will beat you again. Their performance is good news for world cricket as they finally are meeting the expectations. Afghanistan are a team of bravehearts,” he said.

Afghanistan first kept the Lankans to a score of 241, with the Player of the Match Fazalhaq Farooqi taking 4 wickets.

Rahmat Shah (62), Azmatullah Omarzai (73 not out) and Hashmatullah Shahidi (58 not out) won the game for their team.
